Newtown Township, PA
A Donald Ross course.
The course
Aronimink is a Donald Ross design near Philadelphia that Ross himself regarded as one of his finest, restored by Gil Hanse in 2017 to its original crowned greens and bold contours. It has hosted the PGA Championship in both 1962 and 2026, along with the U.S. Amateur, the Senior PGA, and the KPMG Women's PGA, becoming the first club to stage all three of the PGA of America's rotating majors. The course runs across rolling former Pennsylvania farmland, rewarding controlled approach play above raw length.
Signature hole: The par-3 fifth plays to a crowned Ross green nearly encircled by bunkering, demanding a precise mid-iron to hold the surface.
