Charlotte, NC
Designed by George Cobb (original); later renovations by Arnold Palmer and Tom Fazio.
The course
A private club in south Charlotte, Quail Hollow opened in 1961 to a George Cobb design later reworked by Arnold Palmer and Tom Fazio. It has long anchored the PGA Tour's annual stop in the Carolinas and hosted the 2017 PGA Championship and the 2022 Presidents Cup. Its closing three holes, known to players as the Green Mile, rank among the most demanding finishing stretches in tournament golf.
Signature hole: The par-3 17th plays to a nearly island green, demanding a 200-yard carry over water to a green that slopes back to front and right to left.
